This was our 3rd stay at the Sanctuary. It's a very peaceful location with a good view of the mountains. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes/silverware/pots. The central air is very quiet and works well. Lord willing, we plan to keep coming back every year.

This house was perfect for a weekend getaway for three families. There was plenty of room for all of us and a great back yard to play in. The best part was the location. We spent a lot of time at the park across the street. The park had a great walking trail, playground, splash pad and views of the river. The house was close to anything else we could need but spent all our time at the house and the park. We would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at the Southern Guesthouse for my daughter's wedding! The house had everything we needed and fit our large family perfectly. The toddler play area was a bright spot for my little ones and I loved having a room attached to ours that they could stay in. The hot tub was a fun addition for my kids. It also is so beautifully decorated. I would highly recommend it to anyone and would love to stay again in the future! So thankful we booked it especially with it being so close to the wedding venue and we even extended an extra day with no issue to make sure we had enough recovery time after the wedding :) Thank you so much!!

We enjoyed our three nights stay at the River House. The decorating style and comfort of the unit was lovely! Truly appreciated the little touches like, through blankets, earplugs by the bedside to shampoo, conditioner & soap in shower (I forgot my toiletries, oops!). We loved sitting in the backyard Adirondack chairs while watching the moon rise over the mountains., spectacular sight. Thank you for providing us with a comfortable, cozy and relaxing stay.

My brothers, groomsmen, and I stayed here for my wedding weekend, and it was perfect! The house had plenty of space for everyone, with super comfortable bedding and a layout that made it easy to relax and hang out together. It’s also just a short drive from Cedar Oaks Farm, which made everything even smoother. We used the kitchen for breakfast one morning, and it was impressively well-stocked with lots of cookware, utensils, and space to prep a meal for a large group. No complaints at all, which means a lot when you’re juggling everything that comes with a wedding. Would absolutely recommend this place for families, wedding parties, or any group gathering.

This house was a fantastic find! It’s centrally located in the historic area, beautifully restored and maintained, and completely ready for guests. We loved the full kitchen (even though we didn’t really cook), and the spacious rooms. We had one small problem with the door lock keypad (battery I think), but the response was incredible. They were able to let us in remotely, and two fellows were there very quickly to fix it. I can’t think of anything they could have done better!

Absolutely stunning place to stay just like the pictures! Got to meet one of the owners and he was so nice! The mill below does make some beeping noise with fork lifts moving around but it didn’t bother me one bit. The place was clean and spotless and I felt safe being a solo female traveler the entire time I was there. Some deer showed up on my last night there and I got to watch them from the train car while enjoying the view of the river. The hiking in Lynchburg is on point as well if your joint are still good to tolerate it! A nice relaxing getaway for a solo traveler and a reasonable price! Definitely recommend!

The Candy Apple Airbnb worked great for our family. My husband and I traveled with our three grown sons (in their twenties), one of their girlfriends, my parents, and a nephew. All of us fit comfortably in the house, and it was wonderful to have four full bathrooms. I appreciated that my parents could stay on the main level and have a bathroom attached to their bedroom, but my husband and I still got a king-sized bed upstairs. We walked into town several times in various groups, and as we were there over the July 4th weekend, watching the fireworks from the back deck was amazing! It was like our own private viewing, just perfect! Amy was very responsive with questions we asked.

This townhome was perfect! Great view off the back deck with a perfect view of the July 4th fireworks. It was modern and beautiful (pics don’t do it justice). The beds and pillows were so comfortable. We loved the large, well stocked kitchen, and enjoyed cooking large meals for our family. It was easy to get to and hassle free parking for all of us. The location rendered easy access to everywhere in Lynchburg. It was located on a quiet street with easy access to everywhere. We walked up the road for the best homemade donuts three times at Hill City Donuts. The hosts thought of every amenity you might need which made our stay so much easier. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. It was safe and secure. This is our second stay in Lynchburg and this property was the best I’ve seen among all the choices we had. We will be staying here again.

This is a spectacular and unique property…we loved it. Had a great stay and we were sorry it was just for one night. We also appreciated the tips for the area provided online by the hosts. There is a bit of noise on the river from manufacturing, but it didn’t bother us, and it was clearly disclosed in property description.
