Other Details to Note

It is important to note that the Sanctuary is a place to unwind and unplug. We hope it's an opportunity to slow down, enjoy nature, and dream big. For that reason, we do not have wifi. Guests are welcome to use their own mobile hot spot, or if an emergency or need arises, guests can contact us about using a temporary hot spot. The Sanctuary is also a working farm, so don't be alarmed if you hear the cows mooing or the sounds of a tractor or four wheeler.

What a beautiful little respite from the hustle and bustle. Would love to come back in the fall or winter with snow blanketing the property. "Sanctuary" describes this place perfectly. Christine was super responsive and friendly. A perfect spot to stay if you are visiting the area. We will be back!

One of the most peaceful places we’ve ever stayed- beautiful cottage and surrounding area. Bedford was the perfect home base for seeing Appomattox, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and Lexington over a long weekend. Would absolutely stay again to enjoy this sweet retreat.

This was such a wonderful home! Very peaceful and had everything needed for a nice stay. The Mountain View’s were breathtaking. The stillness and quietness in the morning was much needed. I enjoyed eating dinner outside while watching the sunset.

Our stay at The Sanctuary was amazing. Christine and Jason were friendly, responsive, and attentive hosts. The space was clean, extremely comfortable, stylish, and well appointed with thoughtful touches throughout the property. We cooked all of our meals there. The beautiful surroundings and the peaceful pace was just what we needed. We also enjoyed sitting in the gazebo and having fires in the fire pit while overlooking the pond and the mountains. There were many things to do nearby and Christine had many local recommendations to peruse. Incorporating Christine‘s coaching was also a very beneficial and insightful time. I noticed in many of the reviews that people return again and again. It is easy to see why.
